PROMOTING EXCELLENCE

Sunnynook School, situated in idyllic surroundings, opened in 1968.  Over the intervening years it has developed a reputation for quality education.  The school, with a roll of about 500 is equipped with excellent facilities and highly qualified experienced teachers who are very much in the forefront of the latest educational research and teaching methods.  The school aims at developing academic skills in a stimulating and busy environment.

A well balanced and carefully planned programme for the year encourages children's participation in a wide variety of learning activities.

Here are some extracts from the current Education Review office Report on the school.

"Sunnynook School provides a balanced range of educational, academic, physical and aesthetic experiences for children.  These include programmes for children with special abilities and for children with special needs as well as specialized programmes such as physical education".

"A positive and supportive atmosphere within the school.  The environment is extremely well maintained with attractive gardens.  Every year there is a planting programme for trees and shrubs".
